The news bombards us with new information with each passing minute. Most media outlets are relentlessly producing quarantine-themed content. Isolation, distance, loneliness have become our new favourite buzzwords and while the current overflow of reading material is an apt antidote to boredom and provides helpful distraction from extraordinarily bleak circumstances, this uninterrupted cycle of worrying and stressing can be addictive and overwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, you have every right to freak out, but you should also give your body and spirit some time off. Even if you’re feeling safe in your quarantine (count your blessings multiple times a day if that’s the case), the anxiety and fear can take a toll on your wellbeing.
